Thorlakson Z-LASIK (TM) Flap Lifter, short hdl
to lift femtosecond created flaps

Designed for LASIK flaps which have been created with a femtosecond laser, this instrument combines a modified Sinskey Hook with a double-notched vaulted spatula. The 1mm long Sinskey Hook tip is angled at 35° and is slightly tapered to aid in finding the flap edge. The 12mm long, vaulted spatula is introduced into the interface and can be used to undermine the flap and gently cut through any remaining adhesions with the beveled notches near the tip. The instrument is available in a standard length of 140mm with a 5mm diameter handle or in a shorter length of 100mm with a 4mm diameter handle.
