Henderson LRI Marker
for marking the cornea with or without ink!
This new instrument was designed to produce a pattern at the limbus which the surgeon can use to create a precise relaxing incision. The anterior surface of the instrument has a 1.5mm center opening for centration, and lines which represent the location of the marking pattern on the posterior surface. The blades on the underside of the instrument have ultra-thin marking surfaces which allow them to be used with or without ink. The Henderson LRI Marker produces an arc pattern imprinted at the 10mm optic zone with 30°, 45° and 60° landmarks.
To use this marker, the surgeon aligns the two 2.5mm long center lines on the surface of the marker with the desired degree lines on the Henderson Degree Gauge (K3-7904) and presses down firmly onto the cornea. The resulting arcuate pattern is easily traceable with a diamond knife and helps the surgeon to make very precise and accurate limbal relaxing incisions. |
