This new marker was designed to produce landmarks on the cornea for proper positioning of the Toric IOL. The anterior surface of the marker has a 1.5mm center opening that can be used for centration and two horizontal lines which indicate the position of the marking blades. The two 2.5mm long blades conform to the curvature of the cornea. To use this marker, the surgeon simply aligns the horizontal lines on the anterior surface of the marker with the appropriate degree lines on the Henderson Degree Gauge (K3-7904) and presses down gently onto the cornea. The result is two 2.5mm radial marks along the desired axis extending out to 11mm. |
