Ichikawa ICL Manipulator
for atraumatic placement of haptics
This unique double-end instrument was designed to aid in the proper placement of an ICL. After the lens is inserted with an injector, the micro-ring tips of this instrument are used to position the haptics (or "ears") into the sulcus. The posterior surfaces of the rings have very fine texturing for gentle, atraumatic traction during manipulation. Although the rings are identical on each end, the shaft angles are different for easier access to all quadrants without stressing the incision. |
