Henderson Capsule Polisher
Now through a micro incision!
In order to achieve optimal long term results in cataract surgery, it is important that all of the residual cortex and cellular material be removed from the capsule. Over the years, many different polishing instruments have been designed to debride any remaining cells prior to IOL insertion. Bonnie Henderson, MD of Boston, MA designed this new cannula for polishing all aspects of the bag through a micro incision. It features a finely textured 1.25mm disc-shaped tip which allows the surgeon to gently scrub the anterior, posterior and the capsular fornix surfaces. Dr. Henderson included a posterior facing 0.3mm port to keep the capsule well formed during polishing. |
